Between January 30 and February 20, the Namur 2030 team is organizing eight information sessions for cultural operators throughout the region.
Namur 2030: a regional project
If you were to climb into a hot-air balloon and fly over the region, you’d see the green hues of the forests and plains, and the yellow hues of the farmland and peri-urban areas. The turquoise blue of the Lacs de l’Eau d’Heure, the cryptic lines of the canals and rivers. The beige of their sandy banks. The grey of the Citadel cliffs, the old stone house facades and 200 castles scattered here and there. Namur is a confluence of colors….
Imagine, in 2030, a great citizens’ banquet organized in Maredsous or Rochefort, exhibitions in the heart of the villages, an opening ceremony starting on the Meuse at Dinant, on the Sambre at Sambreville and criss-crossing the territory via the waterways.
Namur’s bid to become European Capital of Culture is the bid of all the inhabitants of our region.
