On 13 June, tourist offices, cultural centres and local authorities from the areas involved in Namur’s bid to become European Capital of Culture in 2030 met for a presentation and discussion session.
The aim of the meeting was to present Namur’s bid in detail, as well as the ambitions for the project. But also to gather ideas, suggestions and comments from those present.
This project is first and foremost that of the local stakeholders. And we’re paying particular attention to bringing people together around a shared ambition.
The aim of this morning was to unite everyone’s efforts around a common ambition: to make Namur a true European cultural hub. The discussions helped to define concrete actions and strengthen cooperation between the various local players.
With these discussions, Namur has taken another step forward in its bid to become the European Capital of Culture in 2030. The mobilisation continues, and the enthusiasm is palpable. Everyone involved is now ready to make an active contribution to the success of the bid, by showcasing Namur’s rich cultural diversity.
Let’s get on with the adventure!
